Today was the first round of the youth football championship, organized by the Palestine House – Toronto, kicked off. The tournament was Sponsored by the auto and home insurance agent, Mr. Haitham Al-Shafei. With great enthusiasm, perseverance, and with more than a year of preparation and training, eight sports teams competed for the championship cup: Palestine House Teams: Toronto Imams Council, Yemeni Canadian club, Farm Boyz, Red Line, Al Aqsa, Falcons, Challenge, The match was played on two separate indoor courts. The matches began with a lot of suspense and determination to win. All players demonstrated great sportsmanship among the competitors. The set up consisted of Stadium No. 1The Yemeni Canadian club team VS. the Imams Council team Palestine House Team – Toronto VS. Farm Boyz The first round winners, who qualified for semi finals were: The Yemeni Canadian Club and Palestine House- Toronto Stadium No. 2Red line VS. Al Aqsa team The Falcons VS. The Challengers The first round winners, who qualified for semi finals were: Red line and The Falcons In the final round, the The Yemeni Canadian Club team won the title as championship and were rewarded a championship cup. The Falcon team won second place. The third place Palestine House- Toronto team At the end of the games, Mr. Amin El-Maoued , President of the Palestine House – Toronto, member of the Executive Office of the Palestinian American Athletic Association-PAAA and Mr. Haitham Al-Shafei, the sponsor of the session, handed and Samer Kolak Taekwondo Coash ,over the championship cup to the winning team The Yemeni Canadian, and gold medals were distributed to members in the first, second and third ranks. The tournament’s top scorer won the trophy as the best scorer Maher Alshayib The best player Mohamad Hadrus the tournament was awarded for his behavior and athletic skills. The matches were led by the best referees, Gaby Shehada , Sal Xander and Majd Al-Din, who won gold medals for their outstanding roles as referees. The game coordinator, Captain Ibrahim Al-Abbasi, was awarded a gold medal for his role in preparing and organizing the tournament. In conclusion, Mr. Amin and Mr. Haitham thanked the participants for their wonderful participation and their hard work for the success of this session, and hoped to meet soon in the second session. Special thanks to the volunteers who contributed to the success of this sporting event. أنطلقت اليوم ألعاب الدورة الأولى لبطولة كرة القدم للشباب التي ينظمها البيت الفلسطيني- تورنتو برعاية وكيل تأمين السيارات و المنازل السيد هيثم الشافعي بهمه عالية و حماس شديد و بعد أنتظار لأكثر من سنة من التجهيز و التدريب تنافس ثمانية فرق رياضية على كأس البطولة للدورة الرياضية للشباب :فريق البيت الفلسطيني-تورنتو فريق مجلس الأئمةفريق النادي اليمني الكنديFarm BoyzRed Lineفريق الأقصى فريق الصقور فريق التحدي و دارت مباراة الدورة على ملعبين داخلي منفصلين .و بدأت المباريات بكثير من التشويق و الاصرار على الفوز بروح رياضية عالية بين المتنافسين .الملعب رقم 1 الفريق النادي اليمني الكندي ضد فريق مجلس الأئمةفريق البيت الفلسطيني-تورنتو ضد Farm Boyz و فازا في الدور الأول الفريق النادي اليمني الكندي و فريق البيت الفلسطيني-تورنتو و تأهلا الى الدور النصف النهائيالملعب رقم 2فريق Red line ضد فريق الأقصىفريق الصقور ضد فريق التحدي و فازا في الدور الأول فريق Red line و فريق الصقورو تأهلا الى الدور النصف نهائيو في الدور النهائي فاز فريق النادي اليمني الكندي و حاز على لقب الدورة و فاز بكأس البطولة و فاز فريق الصقور بالمرتبة الثانية و فريق البيت الفلسطيني-تورنتو بالمرتبة الثالثة و في نهاية الدورة قام المهندس أمين الموعد رئيس البيت الفلسطيني-تورنتو و عضو المكتب التنفيذي للأتحاد الرياضي الفلسطيني الأمريكي و السيد هيثم الشافعي راعي الدورة و السيد سامر الكولك مدرب محترف تكوندوا، قاموا بتسليم كأس البطولة على الفريق الرابح و تم توزيع ميداليات ذهبية لأعضاء الفرق الفائزة في المراتب الأول و الثاني و الثالث .و حاز ماهر الشايب من فريق البيت الفلسطيني-تورنتو كهداف الدورة على كأس كأفضل هداف و حاز محمد هدروس من فريق الصقور كأفضل لاعب كأس على سلوكه و مهاراته الرياضية و قاد المبارات الحكام الأفاضلغابي شحادة و مجد الدين و صالح اسكندر و تقلدوا ميداليات ذهبية لدورهم الرائع في التحكيم و تقلد منسق الدورة الكابتن إبراهيم العباسي ميدالية ذهبية على دوره في الأعداد و حسن التنظيم للدورة .و في الختام شكر السيد أمين و السيد هيثم المشاركين على مشاركتهم الرائعة و عملهم الدؤوب لأنجاح هذه الدورة و على أمل اللقاء قريبا في الدورة الثانية.شكر خاص للمتطوعين الذين ساهموا في أنجاح هذا الحدث الرياضي .و جزيلا الشكر و الأمتنان للسيد هيثم الشافعي راعي الدورة الذي تكفل بكل التجهيزات من ملابس و كؤوس و ميداليات ذهبية .
