Palestine House – Toronto was honored to receive Sister Hala Abu Hasira, the Palestinian Ambassador of Canada.
Our member Talia Al Mawed presented a bouquet of roses to the Ambassador.
Everyone was very pleased to welcome the ambassador and thank her for this generous visit, which indicates to us the Palestinian ambassador’s willingness and desire to communicate with our community members and reassure them in light of the COVID-19 pandemic. The meeting was very productive and an opportunity to exchange views.
The Palestinian ambassador emphasized the importance of the role of Palestinian Canadians in enhancing friendship and cooperation relations between Palestine and Canada and engaging in Canadian civil society. She praised the role of the Palestinian House – Toronto in highlighting the Palestinian issue, reviving the Palestinian heritage, and adhering to the Palestinian national identity. We are very grateful for her visit and welcome her to return.
تشرف البيت الفلسطيني- تورنتو بأستقبال الأخت هاله ابو حصيرة سعادة السفيرة الفلسطينية في كندا و حيث كان في أستقبالها الأخ المهندس أمين الموعد رئيس البيت الفلسطيني- تورنتو و اعضاء الهيئة الأدارية و جميع مسؤولين اللجان و الأعضاء .
قامت الطفلة تاليا الموعد بتقديم باقة من الورد لسعادة السفيرة .
و رحب الجميع ترحيبا حارا بالسفيرة و شكرها على هذه اللفة الكريمة و التي تدل على حرص السفيرة الفلسطينية على التواصل مع أبناء الجالية و الأطمئنان عنهم في ظل وباء كوفيد ١٩ . و كان اللقاء على درجة كبيرة من المسؤولية و كانت فرصة لتبادل وجهات النظر.
و أكدت السفيرة الفلسطينية على أهمية دور الفلسطينيين الكنديين في تعزيز علاقات الصداقة و التعاون بين فلسطين و كندا و الأنخراط في المجتمع المدني الكندي . و أشادت بدور البيت الفلسطيني- تورنتو في تسليط الضوء على القضية الفلسطينية و أحياء التراث الفلسطيني و التمسك بالهوية الوطنية الفلسطينية.
