مساء الأحد ١٦ أيار ٢٠٢١ تنادى مجموعة من أصدقاء فلسطين من مختلف الجنسيات للتدوال بالعدوان الذي يتعرض له اهلنا في القدس وغزة وباقي المناطق الفلسطينية. وقد حضر الاجتماع الافتراضي (عبر الزوم) العشرات من النشاطاء من بينهم ممثلين عن البيت الفلسطيني تورنتو الذي شرحوا للمجتمعين الوضع الحالي الذي يهدد سكان حي الشيخ جراح، والاعتداء على المصلين في المسجد الأقصى والقصف الهمجي للعائلات المدنية في قطاع غزة بما فيها قتل الأطفال والنساء. وقد تدارس المجتمعين الموقف السياسي الكندي الذي لا يرقى للمعايير والقيم الكندية والذي طالما اكتفى بالعبارات العائمة التي لا ترقى للمسؤولية ولا تلبي مطلب الحماية والعدالة للشعب الفلسطيني حسب مقررات الامم المتحدة . وقد طرح المشاركين مجموعة من الاقتراحات التي بدأ العمل على بلورتها من خلال خطط عملية لإيصال الصوت للمجتمع الكندي وعلى رأسه أصحاب القرار السياسي الكندي وصولا إلى دعم اهلنا الذين يعانون تحت الإحتلال والقمع. و هنا نود التنويه أن باب المشاركة في هذه النشاطات يبقى مفتوحا للجميع وسوف نبلغكم بالنشاطات اولا بأول.On Sunday evening, May 16, 2021, allies of Palestine of various nationalities called for a stop to the aggression against our people in Jerusalem, Gaza and the rest of the Palestinian territories. The virtual meeting (Via Zoom) was attended by dozens of activists, including representatives of the Palestine House – Toronto, who informed the attendees of the current situation including the imminent threaten to the residents of Sheikh Jarrah, the attack on worshipers in Al-Aqsa Mosque and the barbaric bombing of civilian families in the Gaza Strip, including the killing of children and women. The meeting discussed the Canadian political position on Palestine which does not live up to Canadian standards and values. Canada’s position does not meet its responsibility to demand the protection and justice of the Palestinian people according to United Nations decisions and to hold occupiers accountable for violating international law. The participants presented a set of proposals and worked through practical plans to convey the voice to the Canadian community, headed by the Canadian political decision-makers, to support our people who are suffering under occupation and oppression in Palestine. We would like to point out that the door to participation in these solution-oriented dialogues remains open to all, and we will inform you of upcoming meetings.
