I was honored to receive an invitation from the Cuban Consulate in Toronto to meet with a high-level delegation Mr Gerardo Portal senior official from the Cuban Ministry of Foreign Affairs and with the presence of Cuban Ambassador in Canada Mr Rodrigo Diaz visiting Canada .
The delegation began by extending greetings to the Palestinian people in their resistance against the occupation and denouncing Trump’s racist and aggressive policies. They reaffirmed Cuba’s steadfast position—both government and people—in support of the inalienable national rights of the Palestinian people.
In response, the President of the Palestinian House -Toronto, Eng. Amin El- Maoued , condemned the U.S. policy of blockade and starvation imposed on the Island of Freedom. He emphasized that Cuba’s stance on Palestine is a moral , reflecting the nobility and credibility of the Cuban people in their opposition to oppression and tyranny. He also praised Cuba’s role as part of the Hague Group in the International Court of Justice, where the occupation is being prosecuted for committing genocide against our people in Gaza. 
تشرفت بدعوة من القنصلية الكوبية في تورنتو بلقاء وفد رفيع المستوى مع أحد كبار المسؤولين في وزارة الخارجية الكوبية السيد هيرردوا بورتال و بحضور السفير الكوبي بكندا . أستهل الوفد بتحية للشعب الفلسطيني في مقاومة الإحتلال و سياسة ترامب العنصرية و العدوانية و أكد على موقف كوبا حكومة و شعب مع الحقوق الوطنية الفلسطينية الغير قابلة للتصرف .
و بدوره ادان رئيس البيت الفلسطيني-تورنتو المهندس أمين الموعد سياسة الحصار و التجويع التي تقوم بها الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية ضد جزيرة الحرية و اعتبر ان موقف كوبا مع فلسطين هو موقف أخلاقي و يدل على نبل و مصداقية الشعب الكوبي ضد الظلم و الطغيان. و أشاد بموقف كوبا بكونها جزء من مجموعة لاهاي في محكمة العدل الدولية التي تقاضي الإحتلال بتهمة حرب الإبادة ضد شعبنا الفلسطيني في غزة.
