This Ramadan, we are committed to fundraising for COVID-19 relief in Ain Al-Hilweh, which is Lebanon’s largest Palestinian refugee camp. This is the camp I was born in, where my grandparents sought refuge to in 1948 after being forced out of their homes in Safooria, Nazareth, Palestine. This is also where they were laid to rest, Allah Yarhamen. In my grandparent’s name, my family living in Ain Al-Hilweh have been helping with relief efforts since the beginning of the pandemic by serving up to 120,000 of the residents who call it home. At the moment they rely on donations from others in Lebanon, but the country is currently facing its worst utilities and economic crisis in decades. The Lebanese lira has lost an unprecedented 90% of its value against the dollar, food and essential good prices are soaring, and people are suffering as they have lost their livelihoods. Help us make a small contribution to the lives of those living in Ain Al-Hilweh by purchasing a mug.
100% of proceeds go directly to those living in the camps.
May Allah (swt) accept your Prayers, Duas, Fasts, Zakats, Sadaqah’s and Generosity this Ramadan.
